We have an opportunity for an Asset Database Manager to join our team in Suttons Wharf. This office will be moving to Camden in the winter of 2019. This is a vital role as you will be at the forefront of Asset Management strategies within One Housing Group. This role would be suitable for candidates with the right skills and experience who also shares One Housing’s values and will make an active contribution to achieving our vision.

Role & Responsibilities

The role:

The Property Services Department has delegated responsibility to manage all asset management and property related services and activity on behalf of One Housing Group. 

This role is responsible for managing all property related databases and applications used for providing effective and accurate reporting within Asset Management. This role is responsible for ensuring that the stock condition surveys are managed and captured to an exemplary standard to enable robust programmes of works and budgets to be set.

This is a pivotal role within the team and the post holder will lead on innovative solutions as well as being a strong leader, ensuring a consistent focus on improving the customer experience whilst ensuring value for money through effective data management.


  • Managing a team of 3 people – which will be growing to a minimum of 5 over the next 18 months.
  • Ownership and effective management of the property database, systems and data used within asset management. This includes managing the relationship with the software provider, co-ordinating software/application upgrades and maximising the use of mobile technology.
  • Supporting the procurement and implementation of a new asset management system.
  • Deliver accurate short, medium and long-term asset management data to inform strategic business planning and the asset management strategy.
  • Timely production of investment requirements based on maintaining accurate data to build programmes of work and budgets forecasts.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across the group, collaborating with IT and other specialist colleagues, to ensure accurate interface with relevant systems, databases and mobile applications.
  • Ensure effective programming of the stock condition survey and the configuration of PDA’s to ensure accurate collection of data.
  • Work across teams and departments to ensure that all compliance data and systems align along with striving for continual improvement in data accuracy.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy by instigating quality assurance checks on data, conducting gap analysis, and identifying barriers.
  • Liaise with other group departments to ensure accurate set up and maintenance of assets, correct record of departmental and stake holder, and supplier responsibility.

Required skills/experience
  • Experience of managing complex databases, providing support and training to users.
  • Experience of implementing software updates in conjunction with IT.
  • Knowledge of housing management or asset management systems.
  • Ability to building effective links with other related departments on a range of data issues.
  • Ability and experience of providing accurate KPI’s and data analysis reports in a user-friendly format.
  • Experience of undertaking process reviews, implementing and maintaining improvements.
  • Management experience, preferable in a successful team environment, to allow and encourage others to exceed targets and perform to a high consistently standard
  • Experience of Project Management of planned works from inception to completion
