Finance Manager – Real Estate

200-250 per day

Frimley

2 month contract (sick cover)

Our Real Estate Management Hub in the UK is looking to recruit a Finance Manager in the Real Estate department. Industry background won’t be necessary if you have great finance and accounting knowledge.  

As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the correct commercial administration for predominately Switzerland, Spain, France and smaller locations in other countries. This includes being the commercial interface and providing financial support in day to day operations in these countries.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Bottom up budgeting and forecasting and alignment with target setting
  • Evaluation of opportunities and risks from operational business at a country level
  • Ensure timely charging, analysis and review of real estate charges and align and communicate with Customer and Hub
  • Financial and commercial support for negotiation and preparation of external and customer lease contracts
  • Monitor and control Countries financial and operational performance, including timely reporting to Headquarters
  • Commercial project definition and preparation, including cost/investment calculations
  • Support in implementation of Real Estate guidelines and principles within responsible countries
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • Coordination with local Tax, legal and insurance
  • Support Asset Manager counterpart in identifying, reporting and realising savings
  • Support in invoicing sales and posting costs, support in management of lease contracts
  • Cover for other Western Europe Finance Managers as required

What do I need to qualify for the role?

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a similar role an Accounting and Finance role in an international company
  • CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW qualified or working towards this qualification
  • The ability to managing finance in a dynamic and growing business
  • The ability to communicate clearly with different levels of stakeholders across the business
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbally
  • Working on own initiatives as the team is very little

Optional

  • Previous Real Estate experience
  • Fluent in French or Spanish
