Job Description

Conference Manager 12 month Mat cover (Events, Digital, Online, Offline, PR, Comms) London £40k

This is an excellent chance to join a FTSE 100 company and market leading provider of events and business information. They are looking for a Conference Producer to join a world leading travel event portfolio and manage the strategic development of the event programmes.

Key responsibilities:


  • Work with the HoM and portfolio marketing managers on strategic development of the event programmes across the portfolio
  • Develop strategic programme of events that can be rolled out across the portfolio
  • Implement key event programme messaging
  • Develop consistency of planning and implementing of the events across the portfolio
  • Develop consistency of reporting and analysis across the events programme
  • Input in portfolio event programme budget and help manage cost savings
  • Manage, lead and inspire direct and indirect team members, ensure capability and skill sets are constantly improving to meet the needs of the business (Management of Senior Conference and Seminar Exec & Assistant)

Event Programme

  • Management of strategic input on all content
  • Management & recruitment of event partners - liaise as a point-of-contact pre, during & post show for external seminar organiser and speakers
  • Oversea and manage with exec & assistant collating and gathering of seminar information including session titles, synopses, speaker biographies and photos
  • Oversea and manage exec with all speaker queries / hotels, flight bookings, registration & badging
  • Creation of event timetables/schedules
  • Project manage key high level events and programmes
  • Manage operational aspects of the events programme pre & post
  • Manage and liaise production teams prend onsite
  • Managing on-site video, photography & recording of conference and any post show editing required (liaising with the video production team)
  • Strategic input in to all other event programme & literature
  • Budget Management of event codes and overall marketing budget
  • Management of planning, reporting & analysis
  • Operations liaison
  • PR liaison - direct contact with PR team
  • Provide feedback on all general marketing initiatives
  • Agency & supplier liaison
  • Manage, lead and inspire direct senior conference and seminar exec & assistant report

  • Very organised and have a good eye for detail
  • Travel Industry knowledge would be a bonus
