This is a fixed term contract opportunity until October 2019. All successful applicants will be considered for longer term opportunities in summer 2019 with a view to studying the CIPFA accountancy qualification on a formal trainee scheme. The positions are based across Leeds and Liverpool.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • We will empower you to act as a trusted business adviser to our clients
  • You’ll have the opportunity to attend and participate in client meetings with senior members of our clients’ workforce, including Chief Executives and Finance Directors
  • You’ll be trusted to participate in all aspects of large and complex audits
  • You’ll work with our management team who are here to provide support to you and coach you in the delivery of your work
  • We will ask you to complete audit work on complex risk areas
  • You will support our work on value for money reviews for a portfolio of clients
  • You will be involved in producing the draft audit findings report and for attending clearance meetings with management

    Who we're looking for:

  • Experience of working in a finance team within large or small business or public sector bodies
  • A genuine interest in working with public sector bodies, with desire to learn and tackle client’s business challenges and needs
  • We have an open and collaborative culture and as such, you need the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • An interest in maintaining and developing your technical knowledge in order to facilitate and lead valuable discussions with our clients including developments within the public sector.
